5.5 Gallon Betta tank

It’s been awhile since I updated on my betta 5.5g tanks. I have to move them around for new arrivals that are coming in a few days.

Here are my two new boys, one is a rosetail red blue orchid halfmoon and the other is I believe is a galaxy nemo halfmoon plakat.

The halfmoon came in with torn/bitten fins but they are now regrowing.

You should do before and after photos and observe their markings and colours, you will not be disappointed

They are roughly 4-5 months old so their coloring won’t change much anymore. I do have a tri color dragon betta that has branching on his fins after a year of getting him but his colors stayed the same. Had bettas turn solid blue before. I am aware they can change color due to the marbling gene. I had been keeping bettas for over 15 years, then bettas didn’t have the colors they have now.

Cool! My Candy did change his colours a bit, he changed fast but I believe he was younger than 4 months.

My giant betta is 5-6 months old and he has a bit more black on him but is still very red. Going to give him a salt bath soon. He’s suffering from a mild case of swim bladder disease, he recently had fin rot.

He's young, but older than Candy.. Salt bath for swim bladder?

Salt baths help with constipation and bloating. He is a bit bloated and constipated. Bettas can not have peas has their bodies are not made to digest plant material, they are insectivores.
