You mean Epsom salts? How do you know if he's constipated? He's not passing feces? I saw many sites tell others to use peas to help, but I suppose it doesn't. Bettas are insectivores and eat insects. I saw little teeth on beggining of his hole, it was cute for some reason.

Our bettas used to eat pea bits sometimes...& we never had constipated fish. Peas are not on any fishes natural diet...but neither are many foods we feed them...I think your both wrong...

Vincenia, you can try epsom salts, is he still eating?

He still eats but sinks to the bottom of his tank. He can swim but struggles to stay afloat.

I have some. I dose 2 table spoons to my 1 1/2 - 2ltr container and it works. You can soak some pellets in epsom salty water too and feed him this.

He’s probably to far gone to save. I tried everything I can do to save him. He won’t eat, swim or do anything else anymore...

Keep trying.... Don't give up until he gives up.... I haven't gave up when my current betta has serious fi rot and wouldn't eat, swim or anything...

He hasn’t eaten in over a week and the treatment hasn’t been helping him. I woke up to him in his side completely but still breathing heavily.
