5 Gal suggestions for college student!

Why dont you fill the glass with water so the outside it "appears" to be an quarium but in the inside its all nice and dry! Then you could fit about 2 hamsters!

No way, you'd need at least 20 gal for 2 hamsters! Goodness!

No really, you kinda would. :}

I just want to wish you much luck if you decide on keeping a betta in your dorm room. I'm also a college-going fish fanatic, and I've got two separate small desktop tanks with a male in one and a female in the other. If you want to talk college fishkeeping, feel free to send me a PM. While I don't pretend to be any kind of an expert, I have a tiny bit of experience. :) Enjoy your betta!

We kept a dwarf puffer in a 10g in our dorm room last year. They're pretty cool check them out.
That would be so awesome, but I'm afraid vacations and breaks would be difficult with a 10g. D';

Okay, I'm a dumb beginner, but even I know not to buy goldfish. xD
Poor college students and 60+gallon tanks don't get along.
you're not such a "dumb beginner" if you know how much space goldfish need :thm:

no offense taken about the betta's are dumb remark. it's just another of my pet peeves.
