Glass catfish would not work in a five gallon.

Yes, but both would take a while to do so.

Yea, I show high respect to dead ones, they gone through a lot with me and gave me thousands hrs of entertaining. I treat them like when a law enforcement personnel died during of an accident. Might cover the coffin with flag, just maybe.

Anyway, dwarf puffers poop like goldfish?

DP's do poo a lot relative to their size, but remember their size. You will never notice the poo of one DP in your tank. Especially if it's heavily planted.

What kind of substrate do you guys for planted tanks? ADA soil?

my 55 planted has a mix of coarse black n white sand and small pea gravel. my 2.5 gallon planted is just plain ol' play sand. i dose liquid ferts (flourish, api leafzone) and don't use root tabs. plants do very well, even my swords. my tanks are well stocked so the fish poop is the primary fert.
