Funny enough, I'm fairly sure I only have 3 male cories out of the whole group of 15 haha. The spawning has not stopped, and it would make sense since I've got 12 females

I like your jungley look! & Ms dark cory seems to get even darker as time goes on. Does it seem to your that the female apisto is getting darker markings too? I hope the male corys can keep up, sometimes my aeneus boys (3 + 3) can't always. Maybe that's just because my females are always fat & might be more interested in food.

The apistos change their color depending on how they feel. It's crazy watching as it happens within seconds. Sometimes her markings are totally absent. Sometimes really bold. Sometimes she's yellow. Sometimes she's more white.

And his colours too, Sometimes he doesn't feel like showing his blue haha



As for the cories, it's often the males instigating it, but I don't collect the eggs, they're young so I don't expect many viable. My nursery has brochis fry in it anyways lol

Oooh, yes, I think she's almost there, finally! A pretty yellow girl as I think of apisto females. The male looks good to go, as he has for a while. Maybe time for some special foods & maybe some music to set the mood. Watch for the breeding behaviors, they're very fun & interesting. Didn't I say that before way back when you got them? At last...

I swear I'm alive still. Just been busy with ant flight season starting and being out looking for them and then being sick off and on.

The stargrass is a beast, it has taken over and I've sold a lot of trimmings. I've rearranged the tank now so the stargrass is towards the back so it can stop shading out my swords.


This was like one whole trim session i sold this too.

And a cory. They've still not stopped spawning since they've started. Turns out my gender ratio is like 3 males and 12 females.

I love your pics as always! I think Ms apisto is saying "ooh baby" to her very pretty boy. Your cory males must be working overtime with all your females.

The only growth I could now fill a bag with is hair algae , now in my "bba" tank...If it's not 1 thing, it's 2. At least the fish are happy, maybe too happy. My BNs laid a smallish clutch of fertile eggs & that's just their first try...NO!!
