55 Gallon River Setup

I love your pics as always! I think Ms apisto is saying "ooh baby" to her very pretty boy. Your cory males must be working overtime with all your females.

The only growth I could now fill a bag with is hair algae 😒, now in my "bba" tank...If it's not 1 thing, it's 2. At least the fish are happy, maybe too happy. My BNs laid a smallish clutch of fertile eggs & that's just their first try...NO!!

I'm sorry you've been ill. We've both been having extra bad allergies off & on 🤧

Did you catch lots of flying ants?
She was really moody yesterday

She has so much blue. Sometimes, in her own way, she shows more color than the male does.

As for the ants... yeah, and there's still tons more right now. Last several days it's been nonstop. I already sent my first shipment of ants in to the person who buys them from me, and he will get another batch again after next couple flights too. I'll tag you in my bug/ant thread regarding more details though.

Moved some plants around a bit, added some heavier pool filter sand for the plants to have a deeper root bed because cories digging stuff up all the time.

Now that's what I call a girthy girly shape...& color. Any time soonish. Love Mr.'s blue color, he's been ready for a while.

Oops just cracks me up! But of course, I love your "normal" corys too.

Great pics as always!

The female is very skulky, tends to stick to dense areas and likes sheltered spots. The male is always out in my face when he sees me near the tank. Very outgoing.

Oops amuses me with his fins. All of his fins *except* his tail are long and ridiculously long. He is so disproportionate haha

I think that means he hasn't found a good enough egg laying place for her. She sure looks ready to rock'n'roll. That's how we old people say it, lol, sometimes...but often with music ;) She's all in control as to when & where :D I hope he keeps up, I think he is good to go! She looks on the edge (of glory, a Lady Gaga song, ha!). (my end of pop culture references).

The bacopa australis is doing very well, which surprises me because I have never had success with caroliniana or monnieri in the past

Male apisto. The female is more skulky, doesn't come out in open much.

And tank pic. Plants could use a trim soon.

That's interesting! I've found Bacopa australis to be a bit more forgiving than caroliniana or monnieri as well. It seems to adapt to a wider range of conditions and recovers quickly after trimming. Sometimes a species just happens to match a particular tank's parameters better, even when closely related plants struggle. Glad to hear it's doing so well for you!
