55g Planted tank (The Start)

 That is a bummer but I understand things change, I am getting ready to replace my cichlid tank with a planted community tank. :) If you get a DSLR & sell some fish & maybe the planted equipment, what will become of this tank?

Good luck on your finals!

Yea things happen.. life happens..

Was thinking about making the tank a cichlid tank lol Care to exchange tanks?

lol I had a feeling you were gonna say that. :) If you want Mbunas I got em!

ehh Mbunas are too much work for me. Ill just throw an oscar in there and call it a day lol
Sorry can't help you there! :D
WHAT?!?! And yes I do stalk you :D
LOL Yeah, once I got back from vacation I was just reallying seeking something new & peaceful (like my vacation was). Plus my parents really don't like the aggression and anything that makes them enjoy the fish more makes my fish keeping hobby A LOT more enjoyable!

I just read through all 53 pages and this is how it ends. :( Well I wanted to know if there were anymore updates and if your part of a club or society? Cause I live in Manhattan and was wondering if you guys have any get togethers where you discuss your tanks and sell plants or fish.

Thanks for looking.
At the moment the tank still stands. The plant list has dramatically been cut down to what ever survived. (ferns, floaters, anubias, moss)
Been pretty busy, haven't even had the time to entirely clean the tank, just been topping off the water level :/
Will definitely need to clean it before life gets more hectic with classes...

As far as a club/society. There is a society in brooklyn but I must say you would be better off just purchasing plants/equipment over this forum than in the club meet. I only attended one and that was enough.. Guppies, mollies, standard hoods sold in as is condition and no appreciation/knowledge to/of rare fish/plants.
Fish/equipment in the city can and is very expensive so you really have to shop around. For fish look for mom and pop stores(even petco) and for equipment its all about craigslist/ebay and this forum.

Thanks bro by the way do you know where I can get some Malaysian driftwood around the city or in BK? Everywhere I look either they are either overpriced or look like a block of wood I can find at the park. :topic: sorry. And as for the clubs and societies I have been pointed towards a few rightover the bridge in Jersey that I might check out just for the experience. :)
