55g tang ideas

No sand sifters, especially in this setup.

They need a lot of floorspace which will not be allowed with the shells and rock pile. Not only that but they are not great tank mates for smaller fish that will get in the way...although generally peaceful, they can have a nasty streak.

EDIT: not to mention they're expensive

ok.

until i can convince my mom to let me clear my 55 (i need stuff to persuade her to let me) im going to dump my 10g goldfish tank and get the other species of shelldweller. i think i may go after a melagris instead of brevis (after seing the ones that pitbull is getting) they wont cross with my multies will they?

Yeah shellies don't cross or at least i never heard of it but anything is possible aye, as for the expense in shipping its that the shipper will charge for a box fee, heat pack fee and next day air fee which rounds up to 30 to 40 bucks i don't do it but if its something i desperately need i will do it..

Tell your mom its for school and that you want to become an icthyologist making big time money and with that money you will be able to afford a nice nursing home for her when she is a senior hehehe..

lol. shes relizing that since its my tank and my fish that its my choice but she dont like it

Man when i was sprog wow that was back in the late 70's and early 80's i had so many tanks in my room from fish to rodents it was a zoo and even believe i had a tank or two in my sisters room as well hehehe ..

The whole family had to endure my wrath of little fury and finny creatures sweet times there..

My mom being the mild mannered Irish women she was she would say ah leave him alone he is just being a sprog hehehe i wonder what she is saying now probably lunacy i tell you..

Good o' American Irish living aye..

wow i didnt know you were irish but i guess based on your accent in your typing i guess that makes sence.

ive got the fish i want to start off as well as the rock and the sand. i plan to move get rid of the fish in the 55, redo the tank and get the tangs out of the 10g and get them into the 505

No worries buddy good to see that you are getting the setup of your dreams completed i hope all goes well for you..

yeah one of my knives died yesterday wich sucks but i guess thats just one less fish ot find a home for.

the tnags are sooo freakin awsome. the eretmodus has dug out a pit under a rock and has staked out his own teritory. he is super dominant. i want to bleech some of the rocks to match the sand, how do i bleech'em to make it safe for the fishes
