more plants when i get co2, idk why gla has nothing in stock:(

i moved the sad gold male ram into the 20G quarantine, and now it is much more active, i think he was getting bullied by the larger male gold ram;)

checking parms and putting shrimp in the tote soon, these are the species I have currently, and how many dividers i have

3 1/2 gallon dividers
1 shrimp safe 20G
1 shrimp safe 10G

species

yellows
RCS(fire/sakura)
greens
blues
oranges
tigers

SO I can do

RCS and Greens in 1 tank

Yellows and Tigers in another

maybe divide the tote in 1/2 and then put in the blues and oranges;)!

the only divider like thing I have right now is the mesh used in windows

please tell me if this is safe for shrimp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

please!:)

Depends on size of mesh, don't think it could harm the shrimp but baby shrimp can be extremely small IMO and might crawl through.

I would just try to have two seperate tanks, one for each type of shrimp.

Yeah, Im doing a tank for each diff. species, so mix and match, 2 diff. NOT crossbreeding in the same tank, please post more suggestions for dividers in my new thread

and i will be starting a new journal as i am not getting enough feedback here;) but I will update this too, can't believe i got 650+ posts, and over 13000 views;)

Okay,:)

So, sold 7 baby angelfish for $20, and am trading 3 of them for a self-cloning crayfish!:) DO you guys think it is worth it, or should I only trade 2? My LFS sells them for $5.99 each, and I am selling angels for $3 each, so I think I will do 2, what do u guys think?

Well, sadly, the bolivians are ALL females:( My shrimps are doing great, my breeding pair looks like ready to spawn, will transfer into quarantine once I get the fish from it out into the main tank. Baby Discus is doing great, and I am seriously thinking about retrying discus with sufficient funds, better stock, and a better tank for DISCUS only, there will probably be some sort of schooling fish and corys, but mainly as u guys say, it is a DISCUS tank and that is the rule for keepign discus, all answers are a discus tank;)

so, still idk for sure, maybe i will try them but looking as if not for a while, maybe x-mas break or spring break, if i get the chance or if my hw burden is decreased. idk;)

all else is well related to fish/inverts, do u think self-cloning crays are worth the buy? still having a bit of difficulty sexing the baby angels(that are under quarter size bodys), but should be fine.

All crayfish species (self-cloning included) will make an easy meal out of anything it can catch. Self Cloning crays won't pick on your adult fish but don't expect to have babies around for very long with some in there. Also shrimp will make an easy meal so no shrimp with the crays. Should make a nice side income though, go for pretty good price and repopulate rather quickly. I think you will probably have to sell 3 of the angels to the LFS, they won't give you 3 bucks for 1 baby angel IME.

Go for the crays, but make sure you have a tank for them and them alone if you want breeding in your main tank. Forget fry, they'll demolish the eggs.

While I would love to see a tank of yours for discuss, you should make sure you can care for them first.

okay, thx;) I guess I will just put it in my 72G? There is nothing in there that is slow enough to be caught except the gourami which stays at the top only, and it can dart around pretty fast once it gets some motivation from the net;)

i may have confused you

i have 15 or 16 angels

sold 10(including trade)

remain 5 or 6 which will be kept for new breeding pairs.

thx
