I think Sparkxx was mentioning your problems with some of your tanks. The ram with whatever it has, overstocking on some tanks, die offs, etc. Just because you get a bigger tank does not mean there is no problems. Wish that was true.



I hope you have enough tanks for breeding. It's not as easy as it looks. Good luck with the house too. I know my parents were stress during that time.



But yes, do manage your time, especially once you get older (high school and college). College is way more different and difficult than regular school, especially when you have to take your upper division classes for graduation. I barely find time to breed my killies and have my brother or parents help out when I don't have time. I do work part-time though...
That's the thing about staying home instead of out of town in dorms. Free rent, cleaning, and help :headbang2:

for the ram, i still haven't id'd the thing, i will be searching

but guess what, as i was feeding my corys tonight, i found that 1 of them was missing its barbels

i think it might have cut them on the sharper lava rocks in there;( i will sand the edges asap, tomorrow

my parents are super stressed, and me even more as they are going for houses with bricks

all the houses we have looked at have BRICKS!

even like 10 year old ones>.........................

i hate BRICKS!

the house we signed for was amazing, but the original builder cut 1 of the 2 supporting bases just so he could create a regulation size garage door and i live in CA! earthquakes, boy was that guy dumb.

maybe go to a college somewhere close to where you vacation often. my grandparents are probably buying a house close to the college im going to so all of my animals(my zoo) will stay there so i can keep up with them.

im indian so i have like 150+ relatives in india only 2 familes i know here

my uncle in AZ, and my moms moms sisters uncles grandsons family..........:lol:

I would take out the lava rock if you can. The cory's cut barbel can get infected so take care of it. Maybe it's the gravel/sand you're using? I had playsand once in my cory tank and it cut their barbels. Had to change out the sand.
Thank goodness I live in farming valley. I don't have to deal with earthquakes or fires. Plus houses are down so hope your parents get a good deal. My parents didn't, since they bought our house when houses were super expensive.

okay, the eco-complete is very soft, that is why i chose it, i think it might be the black gravel which is mixed in? it is kind of large and rough?

well, i'll sand down the rocks

and for the gravel, the eco-complete is like sand, ranging from 1mm-2mm.

all I was saying is, I can hardly maintain my own tanks currently due to homework all the time and studying. I will probably have to get rid of one of my tanks and even then I might not be able to maintian : l all I was saying is that if the fish aren't monitered enough, then their well-being is probably in danger. and no offense bu I am surprised that discus is still there :L
Another thing I'd like to say, its not really funny if the discus is attacking your rams, it means that you might have to separate them : l

well, for the attacking point of view, i meant like chasing during feeding not like attacking full time, i meant like in a funny way, like as soon as i put in the cube of frozen brine shrimp, it starts chasing away the rams from the cube until it is done eating

hmmm i have 4 tanks, a guinea pig, a bearded dragon, and 3 tree frogs plus lots of homework, chores, lots of clubs and sports after school and i can still take care of all of my animals. so you cn always make time.

yes, i agree

i only get like 3 hours of hw daily, 1 hour piano daily, guitar(hobbyish, kind of, no classes anymore), tennis 3x weekly, volleyball 1x weekly, basketball 1x weekly, chores daily, speech and debate 1 hour a day, fish 1/2 hour a day, and then AC, fb, and other stuff.

not bad, considering im able to go to bed at 11pm-1am ish including dinner
