I see no reason for it to not work, however, hatchetfish are jumpers, so make sure you have a tight lid.

nice new av.:)

yeah, i will
its glass with a cutout for an area through which the food from the auto-feeder can directly fall into the tank

Woulda good, but the fact the green neons are smaller is a bad thing

yeah, that is what i thought

but the baby angels will grow with them and the breeding pair is out

so sad:(

i found a new baby angel(dime size) which i put in with the much larger angels in the 20G thinking that it was too cramped in the 10G, i found it with only 1 eye today, there is a hollow red hole in the missing spot

i put in some stress zyme asaic(as soon as i could) and did a 25% WC with RO

shouldnt you move it?!?!?!? what if it were the larger angels that did it. you need to get more 20 gals for your angels so that the sizes can go into different tanks.

Well, actually, adult angels, like any fish, will eat anything that fits in their mouth. I can't get an angel for my 55gal is because of my school of neons

Pull it out of that tank now! If you don't the fish will lose the other eye and will likely die. As it is, the fish is probably not going to make it, tat's a big wound, lots of ways it can get infected. Put it back in the 10gal. A dime sized angel cannot hold it's own agains larger angels. They are cichlids, so they will fight.

poor angel. your gonna have to keep it by the way. i doubt many people would even buy a one eyed angel. you might have to put it down.

Well, I'm a guy who never puts down fish that aren't floating. If it still swims well and seems happy, don't kill it. Fish can live one eyed. I wouldn't mind having a 1 eyed angel in my 55 gal, so long as it doesn't hurt the neons.

I did, sorry, i forgot to include that

yeah, i under stand except for schoolers as they are too fast;) never had any fish over 1/2" eaten by angels

my koi which is now in NY, did eat 1/2 of the tail of a harleuqin rasbora

just watch it. dose stress coat and probably melafix to help healing. you need to make sure it doesnt get infected. youll need to keep params stable.

Well, you're lucky. Neons aren't always fast, and I've lost them to angels before. However.... maybe a small angel with the half-grown neons....
