no updates this weekend, nor monday as im going camping, i just did a 25% WC on all tanks.

Most of your links mention that tetras help the discus, plural, school and not one by itself trying to school with the tetras. Still nothing about same level fish.

Most schooling fish have a pecking order. There's always a alpha male/female out of the group who will pick on the other males/females.

Don't you also have angels with your discus?

okay, didn't the first one say something about them feeling safer and being more active about the fish when other fish swim in the open.......that is basically same level fish, as it said schoolers and most schoolers are at discus level.......but whatever;) i'll try to sell asap on CL, i wish i could on AC, but i hate shipping fish:( unless express and im sure nobody would buy it for like $50 shipped($20 for baby + $30 shipping)

thanks for the input

yes, i do have angels with my discus

i dont think your supposed to keep juvenile angels with discus bc they can transmit some kind of disease.

yes and no, it actually works both ways, either juvie discus or juvie angels can both transmit or receive, but my angels are almost adults now, and my discus is a 1.75"er exactly, the 2" i was saying was an approximate, but close enough

So what's your final stock now? I'd be here forever if I read the whole thing...

final stock? meaning what i want? OR current?

here is my current stock;)

4 yoyo loaches
5 harlequin rasboras
2 SAEs
4 emerald green corydoras
1 Clown Pleco
1 upside down catfish
4 bolivian rams
1 pair GBRs
1 male gold ram
1 neon blue gourami
1 male blue veiltail betta
6 angels
1 baby blue hi fin discus
SO, i sold 8 harlequin rasboras, 1 albino long fin cory, 4 julii corys, and pending 2 bolivian rams

I do know that the bottom is really crowded, but it is better than before as i removed 5 corys

but my goal is to only keep....................

4 yoyo loaches
6 angels(will separate once paired off)
1 clown pleco
1 neon blue gourami
1 male blue veiltail betta
2 SAEs

wiht the rams in diff. tanks, prob. a 20L for the GBR pair.........and another for the bolivians or golds............

55g is too small for discus

just saying...

Actually, I do believe that a 55 is the minimum tank size for discus. It's not optimal by any stretch, but it does work for housing. Plus, this is still a small discus and they ARE trying to remove it.

Fishboss, your final stocking is definitely good. While I personally think a 72gal tank could hold a little more then that... but hey, I just like active tanks more then empty ones.

yeah, that isn't my final stock;)

that is just the fish i want to keep from the current stock, and then i'll change it up a bit:)
