try deep forests and near lakes/rivers. snorkeling helps me find some good stuff but be prepared to treat it for a while.

Nice knives! how did they get along with the oscar, just curious. I am designing a 640 gal, for my oscar and jack dempsey. I am guessing that it wouldnt hurt to add a couple more fish. I was first considering an arrowana, but i think this tank design will not have enough length/width, as it is going to be 6ft deep. how big do the knife fish get?

thanks vader. i have no issue finding more pieces like that so its ok for me to let it go.
powerkit, i had a 6 inch oscar leave my 8 inch african knife alone but devour my 7 inch royal knife. its very risky. this is why im done with oscars... they are too destructive and just not worth the trouble imo. clown and royal knives get large enough to be kept with oscare just make sure they are in the tank first and that the oscar is a bit small than them. they get to 4 feet long so your tank will only be temporary.

superb! but how do you keep it so clean? even if we keep many of the filters, the water get cloudy soon...please share!

find out why it is gvetting cloudy. it can be due to bacterial blooms or algae due to too much light. what are your parameters?
