That's one of the results that came up when I was looking for clown pics and I freaked at the $96 price tag assuming it was in line with going rates or something.

I never had a problem with John other than the fact that he was way too easy on the employees. I was a bit older than the other people working there and was in that line of work out of choice because my expenses were low at the time, but I busted my buns to make sure customers got good service. John simply allowed the "kids" working there to run and hide every time a customer looked like they might ask a question and when you're working a fish department that size with 3 other ppl only to have them ALL hide when a rush happens, it's BS, and since John wouldn't do anything about it I quit. Straw that broke the camels back was when he told me that because I'm older and more mature he just expected more from me than he expects from the others working there. I replied that if I was expected to DO more, then I should be getting PAID more too. He said he couldn't do that because everyone would get jelous and mad, so I asked if he considered any of us adults getting jealous or mad about not getting to sit in the break room 3/4 of the day and get paid for it like the kids I'm having to work around? He had no answer for that, of course.
As for Mary's, Lori pretty much let the kids (especially her daughter) milk the time clock throughout the move of the store. I argued that we didn't need 4 or 5 people on the clock with the store closed to keep RE-arranging the dry goods over and over because they didn't like how it looked, and I told Lori and Mary not to put me on the schedule til there was some REAL work to do that actually made the store some money, because I'd LIKE to have a job to be scheduled at in 6 months instead of having the store go bankrupt. No one listened to me of course, and a month after we reopened I think the 4 highest paid of us got laid off, excluding Lori and her daughter of course. A couple months later the place closed and sold out. The big lady with the attitude who bought it as I recall was the one who didn't like fish, so you can understand how she drilled it into the ground so fast by letting that department go to crap, and then had to sell out too. Then was that asian guy and he was just OFF somehow. He acted kinda snobbish to customers from what I saw alongside my own experience, and I think he ended up having to close down too. Didn't seem to know much either, and it was always just him or this one girl in the store so customer assistance was nonexistant.
Whities is the only place in Fresno now that is any good for fish that I know of. That red barn looking place (I forget the name, but it's mostly a feed store) was pretty decent for marine tanks at one time, but it had declined when last I went in, about a year or so ago.
As for the cichlids, do you mean Kaz? That store he had/has (I don't know if it's gone now or not) was pretty simple, but he had awesome african cichlids.
Chris:
I'll check into the rainbows. I just wanna avoid any of them that will get big enough to stuff an otto in it's mouth, or that will rip the legs off the amano shrimp. Thanks for the suggestion.
