actually i think vinegar did the trick.

Opinions on filters...

I have yet another question... What should I use to take off the silicone and what silicone should I relseal it with, and how long should i wait?


Please help me answer all of these questions =p

razor blades work great for removing old silicone.
other posts recommend which silicone to use.
or simply buy tubes of aquarium silicone for a gun.(caulk gun that is)
 
If the tank doesn't leak and the silicone hasn't gone hard there is no need to reseal it. If you do need to reseal it you need to remove all of the silicone from the inside of the tank with a razor blade the wash it out with white vinegar (it will take a lot of elbow grease). Let the tank dry out and reseal with 100% silicone.
You are also going to need to cut your stocking list down quite a lot.

The only reason I want to reseal it is because the silicone is greenish from algae =p. Could I just put silicone over the old silicone? On the stocklist, those are just the options. I don't know the combination yet though =p. I would love suggestions!!!
 
I cleaned the tank (it might have some little things to clean, but for the most part it's done) !!!

I use aquarium silicone but the diy shop near me sells it for £5 a tube, from what i have read GE I is suitable for aquariums.
As for stocking, choose the fish you like the most and work around that.
