i am sorry, i should have posted earlier. if you ever have to paint over something like that again the first step is to get a decent degreaser like simple green. mix that with some water and spray it onto the walls liberally with a garden sprayer. then take a sponge mop and a towel. you may wind up using several towels so you may want the washer open for cleaning them as you go. put the towel over the head of the mop to mop the walls. it's a whole lot easier than cleaning by hand!!! toss towels in the washer as they become too wet to dry the wall sufficiently.
once you're done washing you'll know where the stubborn areas are. at this point you'll need white terry cloth shop towels and goo gone. soak the rags liberally and wipe clean. throw those out as you go... especially if you have kids!!! then do another quick wipe down with your degreaser the way you did before.
killz is not made for mold and is largely inefficient at keeping many strains at bay. i use irq6000 if there is any mold at all. for aspergilis i use irq8000. if no mold then killz will work fine.
prime till nothing bleeds and paint as necessary.
like i said i'm sorry i hadn't posted before this. i did fire and water restoration til recently and this step by step process has saved my backside many a times. i hope you can still find use for it eventually but also for your sake hope you never have to.
EDIT: room looks great from here by the way.
