Just have a couple of simple questions:
1) Is snail jello good for shrimp as well?
2) Is flavored tums harmful to shrimp or fish?

2) Is flavored tums harmful to shrimp or fish? No it isn't harmful, my snails, fish and shrimp prefer berry flavored.

Thanks snoopy65...can't believe I can just toss flavored Tums in my tanks with no ill effects. I'm a bit nervous but I trust you all so I'm going for it ~ :headbang2:

There is no harmful effect from dosing Tums. I have used it several times with no issues.

sweet, now I have something to do with the reptile calcium powder.

could i use the bone meal powder i supplement my cats' food with for the calcium source in snail jello? >.>

it's pure bone meal, but i just looked at the label and it says it has 1620mg of calcium, 540mg of phosphorus, and 18mg of magnesium.... from what i've read in this thread, i guess i can't use it cuza the phosphorus, yes?

usually we buy phosphorus free because it can impede the absorbtion of calcium, i think its the ratio though. I usually play the rather safe than sorry route. I am not sure of how this would work for your snails.
