:) hi everyone
me and OH would like a holiday in the USA,
we are a little undecided where to visit.
We have been to Florida, and loved it,(i didn't want to come home)
so we would like to go somewhere else,
would anyone like to give there opinion, where would be
a nice place to visit?
thanks.

For a vacation for 2, I would recommend tennesee. The mountains there are amazing, plus, there a large assortment of shows to see.

Also, Chicago is nice, but Its not exactly a place you'd want to stay at for more than a week.

Niagra Fall, New York....The movies and pictures of it don't do it justice...Breathtaking. I have been there once with mom and pop..And plan to go back someday....Plus you can go on the boat called The Lady of the Mist and it takes you right up to the Falls. All 3 of them. And then you can take a santer into Toronto, Canada. There is a light show at night when it gets dark..Oh and you can also get a free pair of sandals to walk way down to the bottom of the biggest part of the falls. (I still have my sandals to this day.) and that was over 3 years ago. I even wear them in the water.....But check the websites out for the Niagra Falls sightseeing. Very Very Very breathtaking....oh and the hills in Tennessee are very gorgeous also. Especially the roads that go thru them. And Ruby Falls.. Can't remember what state that is in. But it claims you can see 7 (yes 7) states when you are on the bluffs of Ruby Falls...:dance2: :dance2:

alaska... it's expensive, but worth it. if you like nature, you'll never want to leave alaska, seriously. new york is nice if you're more into culture, and hawaii is nice if you just want to sit on a tropical beach and get tan.

keep in mind the US is a big country, probably the only one in the world with almost every major biome and culture. we pride ourselves on diversity. there are so many neat places to visit here I doubt you'll be able to decide. I just metioned some of the better destinations, but there are plenty of other places to go depending on what you're into.

Fly to chicago, go to the Field Museum, go to Shedd aquarium, go to the Sears Tower, Navy Pier and if interested, go to the plantatarium.

Niagra falls is nice (although most of it is in Canada), disney world, new york is nice, San Francisco, Grand Canyon.

LA and LV is not that interesting IMO but last time i went there was like 10 years ago.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there's caves close by in Tennessee/Kentucky as well? And one of the largest aquariums, Ripley's Aquarium - it looks amazing, and is definitely on my list.

If you go in the fall, I think the colors are quite amazing. You could get some camping and fishing done too - I'm hoping to go myself this year.

Or you can stop by and see us, on the gulf coast nearby Florida, but with it's own "flavor." :D I can hook you up with some rates if you call Caribe the Resort. ;)

I think the best trip I've ever taken in the USA was inside my state of MI, to the Silver Lake sand dunes. We camped for 4 days, but had some friends who had a Jeep and went dune buggying. I've been on the tallest/fastest rollercoasters, etc., and that was STILL the most fun I've ever had. It even rained the whole time, but the sights were gorgeous, and recklessly bolting over a hill of sand at 60 mph, without being on a track or anything, it was totally awesome.

Bet there's cool things to see in New York too though.

If you've never been to Cedar Point in Ohio, and you like rides... everyone should go at least once in their life. :D

Even though Ripley's aquarium is AWESOME (I've been there), It seemed too short in my opinion. I believe I went though it in about 1 hour.

And yes, there are a fair amount of caves in the area; They were pretty cool.

I've been to New york, it was nice and all, but it was more geared towards people who love/like to shop.

North Carolina's Outer Banks or Mountains.
Hawaii
Colorado
Las Vegas
San Diego, CA
Or get a beach cottage in Maine or Oregon this time of year.

My girl and I are heading to the Fl. Keys in June (6/4-6/8) for my vacation and I'm looking forward to it.
We're staying here. http://www.islanderfloridakeys.com/
Driving down should be a hoot. :/
We plan on doing some fishing, snorkeling, swimming, relaxing on the beach, getting drunk ;) and visiting the "Theater of the Sea" http://www.theaterofthesea.com/. Fun stuff. Hope the weather is nice.
