ABOUT CLAMS

Hi just chiming in. I would move the hammer further awayfrom the clam. Also i would put the hammer in the Live Rock and not the sand, it will be able to open more with the extra space without getting sand in the heads, and it will also get more light. It will also dispurse the eye focus of the tank making your aquascaping more aesthetic, just my opinion. Also, and i may be wrong as i do not have a clam, is that iodine does not do much good for the tank at all unless you have leather corals and even that is in question. THANKS FOR THE TIP, I STOPED ADDING IODINE.AND I HAVE THREE LEATHER FRAGS BUT I DIDNT SEE A DIFFERENCE IN THEM WITH IODINE.
 
Well my clam opened up today i didnt think it was going to make it i moved it back to were i hadit at first and about 45 minutes later it was open. I guess it realy likes that spot.

After i found out i was stung by an aptasia it never open up again. I was placed about 1 inch above the sand it was in about the same water flow it has now. the change was minimal for 7 days. when i got it first it opend in about 25 minutes.
 
I took this picture 30 minutes before i went to work i have to see how it looks tomrow and take another picture.
