Of course.. it all depends on how you place powerheads. With SPS corals, it is really the Acroporas the need the high flow (the stick looking corals), which is what I am into now. If you don't do those types of corals then lower flow/low flow areas are definately possible. On my tank, since it is only 30" long and 24" deep there isn't a whole lot of playing room to make different flow areas, but if you had a 4' tank or longer it is much easier to do. That is why you see in my pictures the Neon Green toadstool is located right in the bottom front of my tank, the one place that has the least amount of flow.. and still, those little polyps on it do get moved around quite a bit.. but not enough to harm it.
