AC's Herp ID Game :)

Especially since I spent a couple of hours looking at lizards from that part of the world trying to guess Seth's gecko!
I'm beat, I'll put up something tomorrow if I'm not banned.

If you know somebody over there with enough rank you could make it happen! I knew someone who had a pair of Amphiprion chagosensis, the Chagos Clownfish that he brought back from r&r in Diego Garcia. When I asked him how he got them through customs he said that the eagles on his shoulders flew them right through!

This species is available here in the US but there aren't a lot of people breeding them so they're somewhat rare.

Oh then it's just a question of timing, contacts and probably money! A lizard that cool looking won't stay rare for long unless they prove problematical to breed.

Well, it's a pit viper......I'm just not sure where to start looking for it, lol! New or Old World?

From what I've read they're not that hard to breed, it's just obtaining them that's the problem. Like this guy here on Faunaclassifieds. He's got females but no male. I might have to shoot him an email to put me on a list for offspring once he gets a breeding group going.

Old World. Any idea what the Spiders are selling for?

I have no idea what they're going for now but about 3-4 years ago captive bred ones were selling for about $100 bucks a piece.

That's alot less than I was thinking!

I'm pretty sure this isn't it but the closest species I've found is Vipera wagneri

You're right that isn't it. Hint: I haven't moved out of the area of the last few submissions.
