AC'S Oscar Club..........

Hey GER....u really think so.....I think I'll just play it safe and follow Betta's advice and see what happens......not to discredit Betta....but I sure hope it is as you say.....just a battle wound. Cuz u'd never believe but yesterday the oscar that doesn't have the torn tail was chasing the the torn tail one for a while but they've stopped now. It was wierd....I thought they were mating/courting or something. Honestly.....I'm clueless......I actually have some poor video footage of it....will post.

Here's the video I was talkin about....it does look like fighting right? Well I got them as a pair and they weren't fighting....in fact they were really close and the oscar had the torn tail when I got him.....this activity is new....in fact only last night they started this.

Wow nice oscar...... What kind of silverdollars are those? Sell me your redhook!

Wow im jealous of tht tank!! the oscar basically stands out!!

actually to my last comment everyones oscars are awesome

XD

Thanks to you two!!
I have three spotted silver dollars and two red hooks, even though one of the red hooks lost the "red" from his hook about a year after having him. Weird.
Oscar is the jewel in the tank, and the first fish I bought for it. It has survived a silver arawana (killed by a parasite) and a clown knife fish (dead from unknown causes)
I wanted to still have some monster in the tank, that's why I bought the pacus, but they are already too big to have two in there, so I am moving one to a pond of a friend

That is what I wanted, another arawana, but I had a practical problem with doing that, all I can find in the market are small ones, 3-4" for about $50, but no bigger ones.
Oscar would have a pretty expensive meal in such an attempt.
I looked everywhere and have kept looking, without luck. The moment I find one suitable, the other pacu will go the pond way!!
