Aknif's Crazy Christmas Tree!

Lol...but my boy dog will still hike his leg and pee on an artificial one......

Yep, mine would think he got the best x-mas present ever, his VERY OWN tree, right inside the house :thm: . No more cold paws

Ya'll need some discipline for those pets! My cats don't climb my tree (though Maggie is into everything else and Puck considers the kitchen counters a private buffet), and my dogs wouldn't dare (no parenthetical comment here--they would be mortified and embarrased).

I do have a 30+ year old 'chirping bird' ornament that I turn on for about 5 minutes when the tree first goes up. It terrifies man and beast alike, leaving my pets with the impression that a giant, raucaous monster lives in the tree. It might eat them!

I saw the Channel 9 thing on those trees. Apparently, them and the giant snowglobes are the 'it' things to have this season. I'm pretty boring--since we're going to be listing the house, I don't know if we'll have a tree this year.

Interesting tree....

I still believe in the "good old" real tree. Always have. We buy from a local church. They cut down trees on someones huge property and use the money to fund activities for kids..... so it goes to good use. I wouldnt buy a "commercial" tree...

Part of it is the fun of picking it out, getting home - realising its not as straight as you thought - has a hole (branches missing) on one side which might require you to do some "mods" to the tree (branch transplants lol), is too tall and need to be cut shorter. I also love the fact that i have a really hard time getting it through the door every year.... ;)
Or back out ... usually dropping about 10 pounds of needles all over....

OG, I LOVE those giant inflatable snowglobes! They have them at Sams Club and I'm always eyeing them. But I wouldn't want it for the front yard, I'd set the **** thing up on the dining room table! :D

Kids love our house... We have a wacky Christmas tree, and the hook that's permanently in our family room ceiling for the tree normally is sporting a 4' stuffed Nemo fish... The two LARGE fish tanks, a giant 5' gumball machine in the foyer, and Easy Bake Oven on my kitchen counter, and a Little Tykes plastic playhouse in my family room... You know, the kind that you're SUPPOSED to set up in your backyard.... complete with the kitchen in it and all the rubber food you could ever want to cook up.

We want one of those inflatable jumpy play structures, but we'd set it up in the front room... Why not? I have two young kids and I watch 3 more. If it's 20 degrees outside, why can't I have all the fun stuff INSIDE?

Until the basement gets finished, my house is freakin' DISNEYLAND!!!

:D
