If they don't sink (after being lightly boiled or popped in the microwave in a dish of water) you can use a veggie clip to sink them. Oh yes, they are very good at finding food! Also you can put in cuttle bone or tums for calcium.
how do you tell if your snails are mating? i found these two like this? and just curious how they lay eggs and stuff and swill my betta eat the eggs?
hmm.. if that was mating how do i tell if it is pregnant? and whats the egg process for these snails?
They will lay eggs above the water surface, AWAY FROM WATER. If the egg sac falls into the water the snail babies will drown. Some people leave them hanging or take them down ito incubate them to hatch, around 100+ snails give or take. If you do not want that many snails, freeze the clutch or throw them in the garden, not allowing them to be washed into any nearby water systems.
