All algae eaters at Petsmart on sale for $1!!

We actually are able to say no to anyone we feel will either not take the right care or does not have the right environment for any animal. This applies to any animal we sell in the stores.

I have tried and have been reprimanded and told not to do it again.

Thanks to this sale, I am up to 8 otos in my 55!!

What's weird is that they seem to stick together by origin...the otos from Petsmart are staying together on one side of the tank, the ones from Tanksalot (the LFS that went out of business last year) are on the other side. Weird, huh? I hope they come together eventually...

I may have to make a trip to my local Petsmart to get my 3 otos some more buddies! How big to Rubberlip Plecs get? What do they mostly eat? I know not all plecos eat algae as their main staple so wondering if that is how these are.

Wow, I'm sorry. I know I have turned many people away quite upset for not selling them things that they want. It really is too bad that they care more about money than the well being of the animals...you can only do so much there without them coming down on you..

I think with the increased use of UV sterilizers more and more fish keepers are realizing that algae eaters make more debris then are useful at removing algae. I for one know that the UV has completely eliminated my need for them. That and a little conservatives feeding and my tank is cleaner without them.

As far as being questioned, all I am ever asked is how many and is that all?

at my petsmart its usually the customers asking question, not the employees. That said, no one really asks me much, but most everyone I deal with knows that I take good care of my fish and don't do things that probably shouldn't be done.

Yeah it always comes down to money there, Just wish they would listen .

No one really asks me anything when I buy my mbuna. But if I try and buy a guppy I get 20 questions and I'm told everything I'm doing wrong(like not using aquarium salt).
