I have a 10 gallon tank that I am cycling using ammonia. I am thinking of making the tank an all invert tank, but inverts that do not need to be on land such as ghost shrimp. I was thinking of getting ghost shrimp and a mystery snail. Will this work and how many ghost shrimp can I get? If this doesn't work, what would you recommend? Thank you for the help!

i have 8 ghost shrimp in my 10g planted and their doing well. from what ive read 1 ghost shrimp per gallon for nano tanks seems to be the common answer. You could probably get away with a dozen in there

if you're going all invert, you could try this:
10 ghost shrimp
6-7 amano shrimp
12-14 cherry shrimp
1 dwarf crayfish
1 brig apple snail
1 columibian ramshorn
1 bamboo/wood shrimp

this may seem like a bit much, but inverts produce far less bioload then fish, and if it's planted you should be fine.

Its not planted and the filter is an Aquaclear 30 with the sponge, carbon, and biomax.
most inverts like some cover, i'd reccomend getting easy to care for bushy plants like java moss and hornwort.
