Well, my new 65gal is supposed to arrive tomorrow!

I am so ready for it get here.

I've got my filter intakes and heater cord covered with fake plants, got my rocks and driftwood ready to go, got 2 bags of bio media sitting in my 20.

I am so ready for it.

Guess I'm gonna have a couple of mysyery snails in my 65, I bought two to put in with my betta and she was going after them too. Guess she's just gonna have to be alone in her tank.

I am so ready!

I'm hoping for a short cycle so I can order my fish soon. 6-8 millenium rainbows and 4 red lip botias to start. And the two snails. Maybe nothing else.

Did I mention I was ready for it to get here?

Gosh, UncaBret, are ya excited? LOL I was too when I got my 55 last week--couldn't wait to set it up, all that. It's cycling now--I want fish!!!
Good luck with setting up!!! Have fun!!!

Are you seeding your tank with established media? You'll be surprised how fast your cycle finishes up if you can use media from a cycled tank. Not water, not filter squeezings, MEDIA.

Yes sir, yes sir, two bags full.
One has been in my 20g since Nov., the other has been in for about two weeks.
I'm planning on a fairly heavily planted tank and a light bio-load because I ordered my filters thinking I was going to get a 50g (2 AC 30s). If I decide to add more fish I will upgrade.

Congrats!

I wish I could get a 65 gallon, but my mom has decided that 4 tanks is enough. Post pics when you get it all done, I can't wait to see it. Maybe it will give me inspiration once I get my next tank...in a few years.

Good Luck! :hi:

Perhaps a back wall of Anachairis, Cabomba, or similar and something red...Stargrass, L. Repens, or ?????
