Almost here!!!!!

In my 29g i used pieces of rigid airline tubing shoved into holes I drilled in pieces of malay driftwood. The tubing fits snugly in the suction cups that you can buy at lfs. Then i just stuck the pieces to the back wall. It really brought the fish off the bottom, and helped fill the top part of the tank (which is notoriously hard to fill in 29g tanks). pieces of java fern shoved in cracks and allowed to cover the wood look absolutly stunning. What you've got so far looks really nice though. Nice tank uncabret (and I don't usually say that unless i mean it).

My only suggestion is that you clump the plants together a little more to form a "plantfree" space about 1/3 of the way form either side of the tank.

Oh, man! You know how wet I'd get sticking my whole arm down there?

I'm gonna move some of them over. I'm also thinking about putting a peace lily in like I have in my betta tank and 20gal.

I agree with mooman. Those plants are going to grow right up into the bows swimming space and you'll end up moving them anyhow.

Hey, have you thought of making a moss wall on the back of the tank? The entire back of the tank would be covered with Christmas moss. They look SO cool!

Here are some directions. I'm thinking of making one for one of my tanks.

Well, my new 65gal is supposed to arrive tomorrow!

I am so ready for it get here.

I've got my filter intakes and heater cord covered with fake plants, got my rocks and driftwood ready to go, got 2 bags of bio media sitting in my 20.

I am so ready for it.
SO, what kind of filters and other hardware are you using to keep this beast clean and healthy?

Peace...

Here we go. I moved some of the foreground plants to the side and added a couple of peace lilies (one from my 20gal).
The cutie in the second pic is Marley, our 5 day a week child (my wife does child-care). She is a bit dissapointed that there are no 'shishies' yet.

Same here Eco, but alas, I only have 2 15w lights in my 55g. Probably wouldnt be enough light and the bottom would look bad.

2 AC30s with 2 sponges and BioMax ceramic rings. And the plants. This should turn over 5-6 times an hour. If it turns out not to be enough I have a Whisper in-tank I can add.
300w Azoo titanium heater hidden behind the pagoda rock. Currently at 77-78 F (is this good for rainbows, Roan?)

Gee, do you think it's too soon to order my 'shishies'??? :thud:

Bret nice tank

what kinda light do you need to grow the moss wall ??
Mosses are low-medium light puppies, should grow great with almost any lighting.
