Am I doing this right?

I never stated it was a virus I dont think ... It showed signs of being a fungus. all 10 fish had the same symptoms I will probably throw it out ... Along with the bucket I tried to sanitize it in ...

Which is GREAT because I currently have no income.

I believe your post that started this thread has the statement from you that you had a virus. In any case, I wouldn't throw it out. If nothing else save it and let it air dry.

forgot I was talking to fish people ... I have been calling it a virus because its easier when talking to people who know nothing about fish.

Its clearly a fungus. fluffy white cottony stuff on faces ... on all of them ... from my understanding that fungus.

I only have lotl tanks now and I can not risk losing them ... well Lotls and aquatic frogs.

I do not know what to do about the remaining fish... I took this filter from them and was going to give them my smaller filter when theirs was sanitized ( just switching filters) but that doesn't seem possible now.

I am SO frustrated right now.

That could have been a fungus, but fungus is usually secondary to some other issue, and thus not likely to be on all the fish at the same time. This might have been columnaris or similar.

Anyway, as I suggested previously, the pure bleach/rinse/air dry should work for the filter housing.

Its drying right now but I am 90% sure I am gonna chuck it.

I have to buy new filters anyway Always fun cycling new filters ... luckily all my tanks are cycled so I can steal media.
