Just wanting to say hello! again to everyone.
I was going through some SERIOUS withdrawals hehe ;)

So the internet was ordered around August 30th...
We were told to wait 5 business days for a phone call from Telus (internet company).
We waited 6 business days and didn't hear anything so decided to contact them. When we called we learned that the internet service was turned on but no one sent us a modem :).... we let that slide. We were told to wait another 3 business days and the modem should arrive.
Should, being the key word in this rant ;)
We waited 4 business days and called. We were told it should arrive later that day. It never did, so we called again and learned it was not sent, again.
We were then told it was sent on a "rush order" and should arrive in 2 days.
You guessed it... it didn't arrive.
Called again and it still wasnt sent out. By this time we were quite frustrated. Then the representative told us that none of our previous calls had been recorded.
So we decided to give it one more whirl... 4 business days later (today) it has finally arrived, by the front door where anyone could have taken/stolen it.
Anyway, I hooked it up and here I am!

If you are wondering, we called again (lol) to complain and got:
1 month free phone service
our 45$ activation fee for the phone was waved
and our first month of internet is also going to be free.

Still not worth the hassle, but we'll take what we can get ;)

Anyway! Glad to be back!

good to see ya back! sorry to hear all the BS with that, but when I ordered my DSL I got the same crap...just not as much as you got. Ems, you have missed alot! We will get you all caught up but it might take a while to explain. :D At any rate, welcome back and good to see ya!

Welcome back!

Telus' service leaves much to be desired, even when they're not on strike (are they on strike in BC too?) I know people in new subdivisions who are waiting months for a main telephone line. They end up with a cell phone instead.

EMS IS BACK! YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
(FB catches breath) YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

EMS!!!!! Us Sugar Room gals have been missing our 4th Evil Sister! You are NOT allowed to wander off again, Missy! Do you understand me?!?!

(Just for the record, I don't buy your story. I know you've just been.... uh.... um..... busy. Got any new, yummy pancake recipies for the rest of us??)

Welcome back Ems! We've missed you....and you've missed out on some great fun in the Sugar Room....we'll fill you in....

A!!!! you are so bad.... ;)

Have the withdrawls subsided? :D

Did you get DSL?

Welcome back.

Ah, the fun of dealing with businesses. One thing I have found that helps - sometimes though not always but I have a better 'win' ratio - is making sure I get the name, first and last, of the person I am talking to, "Could you spell that please?" If they know I have their name, more often they make a better attempt at following through.

Welcome Back! Not to be a downer, but expect that your first bill will have all of the charges, having to call again, and finding out the promise of all the fre stuff wasn't recorded either. =P
