Hi All,
We have a 55 gallon bare bottom tank that we transfered around 100 juvies pea size Angels. My problem is the fish appear to have internal bleeding and a few are very weak and laying on their sides on the bottom of the tank. We checked parameters and the readings are 0-NH3/NH4,0 -NO2,10-NO3 ppm,the temp is 82-84 degrees F and the PH is 7.2. I suspect it is a Bacterial infection and have treated the tank with Maracyn-Two. I don't understand how they contracted this because we do daily 25% WC and remove all un eaten food 30 min after feeding, unless it was from the frozen BBS. In the past ten years of raising FW Angels this is a first we have been very cautious to quarantine for a min of 30 days before introducing new tank mates and also each tank has its own siphon, nets and specimen containers. We also cautious when putting our hands in tanks we use a sanitizer when ever we have to put our hands in our tanks. We would appreciate any help you all can give us one this subject.
Thanks,
Pops/Pa.
