Can I put a couple of my Pomacea Bridgesi in my angelfish tank? I asked the guy at my lfs while i was there just to make sure and he said no the fish will harass the them and eat the snails' eyes????

Ok, i didn't think that it would be a problem, but it was such a random little "oh by the way" thing, i just had to check it out
thanks :)

See, I have heard lots of cases of the angels harassing the snails and nipping their antennae. You can try it, but please monitor the snails carefully. If they are harassed too much, not only could they be damaged, but they could stop feeding and starve.

do heed Jinx's advice.
I keep primarily Angels.. I have 7 tanks with angels in them.

some will leave snails alone but most will pick at them.
they leave MTS and ramshorn alone but will gobble pond snails and pick on larger species of snails like mystery snails.

good advice, Jinkz.... Crim... what does your tank look like? Is it planted? How big is it? How many angels are in it? What else is in the tank?
Its a 30g bare bottom with 4 juvie angels, nothing else is in the tank except some java fern attached to a rock in there. I just have 3 mysteries in a 10g with 10 super tiny apple snails. I was going to try to move the mysteries to the 30g cuz i have read about when you over populate snail tanks their shells become damaged with growth lines, holes, etc. and figured that if i moved the mysteries (all a bit smaller than a golf ball) into the 30g then they would not be sucking the nutrients out of the available water as quickly as they are now. I do 50% water changes in the 10g 3 times a week or sooner if i see them crowded at the water line, so i was trying to think of ways to stretch that out a bit but that wouldn't be harmful to the snails. as always, im open to advice and/or criticism.

with 4 angels in a 30g your tank is already going to be way crouded, forget about the snails in there. keeping snails together won't hurt their shells. there are things you need to do to keep them healthy though. feed high calcium foods or add some kind of calcium source to the tank.. i have in the past used boiled, crushed egg shells in the subterate to add calcium. now i use peices of cuttle bone and the snails seem to enjoy that. other people use calcium drops or special snail foods.
