I doubt you will get too much flow from an HOB.
I generally run two on my tanks or an oversized one with my angels.
my 75 has a sump with a 1250 gph return pump and extra powerheads.
the trick is to add cover. since they like cover,,driftwood , plants etc. these will create 'break' where the water is not flowing strong.
to be honest..my discus and angels play in the current.
