Angelfish Dorsal Fin

I got it from someone here on AC. The screen name escapes me at the moment. I bought 2 as Double Dark Super Veils, but one is a Super veil Dark and the other is a double dark veil.

If you remember the name, could you pretty pleae PM me? Thanks. :)

LOL, I will do that. :)

I just hope it's not a permanent thing. I want it to be able to flex when it wants/needs. :)

typically, if the shape is regular the fin folds back nearly straight, there may be some bend where the flow is but if the support is rigid it will lay back relatively flat.
notice the finnage.. the dark lines in the fin are usually stiff support
usually if there is damage this is what is damaged.

if the fish is in a deep enough tank to spread the fin it would should have done it by now.
on the flip side this can be repaired if you want to attempt . it requires cutting away the damgaed fins

but persoanlly I would leave it alone.

Yeah, I'm definitely not comfortable performing surgery on my fish and I don't think a band-aid would help... :)

lol

it's a nice looking fish if you get it to pair up you may wind up with some good looking offspring

I may try to breed it eventually. I thought I bought a pair to breed with, but apparently they're both the same sex. :(
