Ok, I haven't been able to find a lot of basic info on Angel fish, so I have some questions.
I have 5- 3 black lace angels, 2 silver angels. 1 of the silvers has some gorgeous red coloration to it.
Anyway, it is a 75 gallon that is being converted to heavily planted. They are in there with 2 raphael catfish and my 2 Giant Danios.
Questions:
1. I have heard to keep them between 78-80 degrees. My water naturally stays right around 80 in the summer so is that correct?
2. Food wise: I have freeze dried shrimp, krill, Hikari Gold, predator wafers(primarily for the cats), cichlid essentials, 2 cans of the cichlid soft pellet food. Are all of these good food for my angels?
3. Any particular plants to stay away from?
4. Is 35% once a week enough of a water change?
5. I have hear a lot of watching out for velvet with Angels- what causes that? poor water conditions?
6. Can I add some schooling fish? I am thinking of adding 8-10 tetras.
Thanks, feel free to let me know anything else I need to worry about. BTW, yes the tank is fully cycled and all that.
