angelfish VS severum

Matter of individual fish (and opinion) as far as personality, but angels don't grow up to 10" and/or need as large of a tank as severums.
i have a tank big enough for either, but do angels bite at your fingers or watch you from the outside of the tank?
yeah, they do. When I move my angelfish from one tank to another I use my hands. They beg anytime someone is near the tank, and they will attack you if they are guarding eggs or fry.
darn this is gonna be hard deciding. which would let you pet and hold them (silly sounding question)? also which severum is most colorful? so far ive heard of red headed, gold, and green.
I can't say I've ever attempted to pet the fish with any regularity. I really like red severums, they seem to be a bit hard to find though. I've never kept any severums as of yet.
I vote for Severums.
I think Angels are a little too mainstream and I like to keep more exotic fish (even though I can't find much around here)

I adore angels - they are like little dogs almost.
Breeding them is enjoyable, love watching them care for the eggs and then the fry. They do get fairly large over time - without being too big ... so that you can have more of them and do more with their tanks and not have to have a HUGE tank.
