Lol, I know you guys love the fish porn too =P. Well, day 2: Things have been interesting. I woke up this morning and there were eggs, but the father has refused to fan them. After quite a few hours I decided to go ahead and pull the tube to the fry tank and set up some water flow over them. I really wanted to wait a while and let the father fan them, but he seemed completely non interested, so we shall see what happens. I will provide some pics of the eggs in the tube that are now pulled. In other news, the male is now in a different tube with a different female...hmmm..double spawn? Anyhoo...
Also, if anyond has bred these guys successfully before, feel free to leave your experience here. I have been asking around trying to see if anyone else has had the problem of the male just abandoning the clutch for no reason, and I have not really gotten any answers, so advice or experience is welcome. Thanks.
So, there is not a lot to update on today. Apparently what I thought were eggs from the first spawn turned out not to be (yes, how embarassing lol). So there are not eggs as of yet. Those guys are still in the tube. I have no idea if they are just practicing or working up to a big one, bu they are def still int here, so without further ado, more fish porn:
