Ok, so my current stock includes Black Neons (7), Neons (only 2, can't find good stock), Glow Light (8), and one other random tetra that somehow made it into my bag when I got the Black Neons. I am thinking about adding a Beta as the centerpiece fish. Would the Beta be ok in this tank? It is a 37 Gallon Tall tank. Would the beta pick on the tetras, I doubt the tetras would pick on the beta.

Thanks

It's hard to say.A lot depends on the individual fish, and until they are in the same tank, you won't know.Bettas and tetras usually get along just fine, and in 37 gallons I would think you have a good chance of them not bothering each other. But then, sometimes tetra find the bettas long fins tempting, and they will nip at them.Tetra are generally faster than bettas,so the betta picking on them is not likely.Just keep a close eye on them.

From past experience, I wouldn't recommend putting a betta with tetras. Tetras usually tend to nip on the betta's fins.

Dwarf gourami are usually aggressive toward each other, and it is usually not recommended to keep pairs. What are the dimensions of your tank? 37 gallons may have enough room for 2 to not get in each others way.

Dwarf cichlids are nice. You could have some apistos, rams,or kribs.
A single dwarf gourami would be fine,or you could have a single paradise fish.
