I just got back from brewmasters house. For those of you who don't know he runs the website http://forum.simplydiscus.com/. He is just the nicest guy you could ever meet, he has some of the most beautiful discus and between his background in biology and his countless years keeping and breeding discus he is the person best to go to when looking for the real info on keeping, treating and raising discus.

Today I came home with 1 white pigeon (7") 1 blue diamond (6") and 1 blue leopard(5") together with my two 5" San Merahs, 1 pigeon and 1 blue turq I now have a happy discus school. They are currently working out their dominance issues and as soon as they settle in I will post pictures.
Stay tuned to see my discus family.

Can't wait to see them!

Me 2 ............:)

Congrats...sure wish he lived here in atlanta!!

Would you like me to ask if he knows any breeders in your area?
Its amazing how much better it is to be able to go to a breeder instead of mail order or LFS.
The best part about this guy is he is a hobbyist so he is very generous and doesn't try to act like he is better then anyone, he admits mistakes and isn't afraid to point out flaws in his fish. When you get from aquabid they usually use the picture of the best fish or of the parents. You need to see what the actual fish looks like.
As soon as I find my camera I will post pics.
Stay tuned!

I'm looking for breeders in the central NC to Atlanta GA area....

I have decided that I want to have a Discus tank - so I went to SimplyDiscus and did a lot of reading - it is a great site.

I also found the name and contact info for a few local breeders. I contacted them to find out their pricing, etc. and all were very nice. One breeder is so close that he offered to 'drive them over' instead of shipping - door to door service.

I am still trying to gather the tank, filters, heaters, etc. that I need. Once I have them and the tank is properly cycled - I will be visiting the breeders to see the stock and their setups. I can't wait.

If its that close you should try to go there so you can get a good look at the fish and get to pick what you want

How about any in the san diego area? Alway's looking for some new blood. Just recently purchased a 125g. Gonna fill it with discus as well.

I can't find my **** camera anywhere. I took these pictures with the camera built in to my computer. So they suck.
Just for reference the San Merah is 5".
The blue diamond is 6"
The white Pigeon is 7"!!!
enjoy my crappy pictures, I will update when I find my camera
