Well... I'm starting to get my tank filled up with fish.... right now I have a mixture of 8 platies and mollies... 4 rasboras (only ones left at the petstore, should I get more?)... 2 dawrf gouramis... and some type of bottom feeder... it was in the tank at the petstore with mollies so I picked him up (might be a Ornate Cory Cat) ....

I was just curious on what other type of fish might look good in the tank? Maybe a nice big centre peice fish... some more little funky looking fish....

The tank is 70gallons...

The more variety, the more lively your aquarium will look, every one loves my aquarium, I have been even asked if it was a saltwater aquarium. But just pick the fish that you like, I mean you can ask if they will get along, but trial and error is better then listening to some one elses error. All I ever lost recently was an eel and a small sickly loach because he came from the pet shop that way.

How would it be if I bought a angelfish and a rainbowfish??... and how many of these would fit in my tank with the other fish I have?

If it is a cory cat, get a few more to keep it company. For that centerpeice fish, keep that space open for now. Keep going to different petstores till you find one you like. Then come home, here to the library etc. and do some searching on it's needs/maxsize/feeding/compatability/etc. This way you can get a nice fish you really like and take good care of it. For some ideas, an angel or 2. Mabey a nice sized pair of rainbows? but try to find one you really like and do some research before you buy. I can agree experience is going to be your friend through your fishkeeping, but research will get you a head start.

Well... my problem is that I live in the middle of no where... I have a local petstore which is in a town like 15-30mins from here where I have been getting all of my fish... they don't have any nice centre peice fish there...

About 4hrs away there is a Super Pet that I hope to get a chance to go to this weekend... and I wanted to look around for a possible centre peice... do angelfish and rainbow have to be in pairs?... Or would it be alright if I bought one of each?

oh yah... btw, my local pet store only had the one cory cat left...

HAHA... Yeah, that's where I get all my information from with the fish I have at the current moment... :p:

I guess when I get to the petstore this weekend I'll just have to decide between a pair of angelfish or a pair of rainbowfish... but both are very beautiful fish...

Which might be easier to care for, and more likily to get along with the fish that I already have?... Any information/advice on this two fish would be of great help...

Question... if I was to get 3 female mollies... would they start to get pregnant and have babies?... Even with all of the other fish in the tank?... And how might I go about saving the babies from being eaten from the other fish?
