ANY lawyers out there, read this

ask him how long his head has fit in a certain place and then just stop listening to the nimrod

i would not worry about it unless the dude is a crackerjack crackpot then just let him take the first swing and its all about self defence from there on in

price out a whole new setup based on what you sold him, tell him the figure of what all of it would have cost new, and let him know that the reasons he is complaining about are why he only paid $375 for what he got.

or, yeah, just don't talk to him anymore.

Caveat emptor: Under the doctrine of caveat emptor, the buyer could not recover from the seller for defects on the property that rendered the property unfit for ordinary purposes. The only exception was if the seller actively concealed latent defects.

You need to document all the swaps and transactions and your attempts to appease him. Keep it with your legal papers and then go have a beer.

He wants something for nothing. BTW- list the equipment new costs for an FYI. The police can't and won't do anything unless he commits a criminal act. At this point is is a civil matter.

I am not a lawyer, but I am in law school, and will be a lawyer next summer (assuming I pass the bar...lol). Don't worry about it - as others have said, ignore him. This type of claim will not get anywhere, I doubt he has any true intention of filing a lawsuit, he is just trying to play you so he can get what he wants. And, this is one of the few areas (consumer-to-consumer selling used goods online) where caveat emptor still pretty much rules. Forget about him.

If you don't have a friend who is a laywer, make one

I've have had my friends send many of threating letters, and never heard anything afterwards.

:wall: yes same here in texas, man i would have paid 400 just for the tank and stand and we would have been good friends. i would also try to take advantage of you on any other tank you might have for sale.
