price out a whole new setup based on what you sold him, tell him the figure of what all of it would have cost new, and let him know that the reasons he is complaining about are why he only paid $375 for what he got.

He wants something for nothing. BTW- list the equipment new costs for an FYI. The police can't and won't do anything unless he commits a criminal act. At this point is is a civil matter.

I am not a lawyer, but I am in law school, and will be a lawyer next summer (assuming I pass the bar...lol). Don't worry about it - as others have said, ignore him. This type of claim will not get anywhere, I doubt he has any true intention of filing a lawsuit, he is just trying to play you so he can get what he wants. And, this is one of the few areas (consumer-to-consumer selling used goods online) where caveat emptor still pretty much rules. Forget about him.

:wall: yes same here in texas, man i would have paid 400 just for the tank and stand and we would have been good friends. i would also try to take advantage of you on any other tank you might have for sale.
haha.. shoulda talked to me a month ago.. i just sold around 300 gallons of tank at $1 a gallon or less
