Besides my love of fishkeeping, I spend several hours a week playing MMO's. An MMO is a Massivly Multiplayer Online game, for those who don't know. Basicly, you create an online identity and interacte with thousands of other players at the same time.

I mostly play City of Heroes, and MMO where you create your very own super hero, design his/her costume, choose your super powers, and fight the forces of evil in Paragon City, Rhode Island. This is my hero, Radiation Wall

Security Level 39 Defender. My character employs a system of arm mounted devices originaly designed to be used by HAZMAT workers in the event of a nuclear reactor meltdown. The devices have vents on the front and sides used to siphon up loose radioactive particles as well as emiting a semi-solid force field to protect the worker. After Ben Dawson's uncle, the designer and creator of the devices, was kidnaped by the Sky Raiders, a rouge military organization, he stole the devices in an attempt to rescue him. Using his tinkering abilities, Ben set the gloves in reverse, so that the shoot radioactive particles at anything or anyone he chooses. The gloves are also neuraly grafted to his arms.

I also play the flipside of City of Heroes, City of Villains, as well as a little Lineage 2 on the side.

So, and othr gamers here? :idea2:

Finally a thread that combines both of my passions.

I can easily spend 2-3 hours a night playing HALO 2 on Xbox Live every night. It's amazing how advanced gaming has become. If you go to Bungie's website you can track your stats or even see maps of past games, here are mine.

There are a couple drawbacks to playing online. One you get a lot of cheaters (why anyone would spend time altering the code of a game just to get the upper hand is beyond me) and there are plenty of immature people that play that spit out curse words and racial slurs every chance they get. I couldn't tell you how many times I've been told by a 12 year old that they "raped" me.

There nothing like sitting down after work and playing a couple games with your friends and people half way around the world.

I'm an old Half-Life gamer. HLDM, OP4, AG, etc. I don't play like I used to, though. OP4(Opposing Force) was my game of choice for years and I got pretty good at it. Going 100-0 in a deathmatch server wasn't uncommon. I wish I had a dime for every time I've been called a cheater or hacker.

I used to play a little Star Craft online, and some MechWarrior 3 before that. I'm more of a computer gamer now, my gamecube is still collecting dust. If I do play a console, I go with adventure and RPG's.

I used to sit for hours playing StarCraft when I was younger, it has to be one of the best RTS games ever made.

I just started playing Battlefield 2 for PC online. In the past I've played the Socom series for PS2 online and had a lot of fun. I like Battlefield 2 because the graphics are better and it's more detailed than Socom.

Halo beats Halo 2 hands down! I've spent many nights playing Halo with friends!

i play Dark Age of Camelot. THE CLASSIC mmorpg. no other game will ever have a PVP system like DAOC. its by far the best.

I used to play WoW. From the day of release (11-23-04) to 7-17-05, I played about 1800 hours total. Needless to say, I needed a break. Plus I had college starting. ugh, those MMORPG games are just too addictive.
