Anyone been fishing lately?

I been fishing a lot for the past few weeks.. The trout hatcheries in NJ stocked breeder trout into the rivers last week.. from 14-24" and from a pound to 6 ld.

But I have yet to catch a single trout, but I've seen them. Here's a few fish I've caught.. Mutli posts.

Now that looks like a good day! Nice variety

Unfortunately i didnt go fishing much this year. Im saving money for a tuna rod and reel combo for a tuna trip next year :) i want to get into sport fishing and theres no better way in MA to do that than with a nice huge tuna. Nice sunnies in all those pics. I would love to be there right now with my fly rod trying to get some nice trout as well

And to answer your question, I haven't been fishing lately because the arizona desert has little natural water beauty, and everything that is half natural is full of picnic tables, portapotties, trash cans, and all the bugs that they attract. I need to take a trip to the mountains soon... plus the fishing licenses down here are complex and expensive. I miss $13 for all you can eat except trout which was like an extra $10 or something

The trout they stocked In NJ range from 14-24" and 1 1/2- 8 lds... They aren't hitting flies... mostly minnows and shiny lures.

I could only catch them on worms, crayfish, and minnows in Missouri. And they didn't have that extreme shyness that they are known for. Of course, there they are stocked in a busy tubing river and don't reproduce. Are the farm raised ones always that different from the ones that are bred naturally in the wild?
