I can speak a bit of German, Korean, Greek, Spanish. You know, the important stuff...please, thank you, hello, good-bye, how are you, where is the bathroom, and one beer please.

interesting responses. i can say i truly only SPEAK english. i can spot a bar fight coming from a mile away in any language though.

i do know a couple things in french, german, italian, spanish, computer, cars, engineering, etc.... BUT i'm definitely best in person. for example i can answer many questions which others might not understand with a simple "click here, copy that and paste it there... or cut that hose off and replace it... etc.". my grade school was predominantly spanish speaking puerto rican. although i'm far from fluent i did tutor a lot of students that didn't speak a lick of english. speaking and understanding are far from the same thing though.

i am a firm believer in KISS (keep it simple stupid). and yes, i resemble that remark!

I can speak English though some of the words are out of context, not sure of certain uses of certain words.

I majored in french in college, so I speak that relatively fluently. I also studied german and mandarin chinese. And I have a working knowledge of thai and vietnamese. Next on my list to learn is either russian or japanese ! Cher cher, tsai jian !

I speak Thai fluently, but can't read or write it. Can also speak Spanish at a remedial level lol.
