Anyone in Va Beach??? UKC registered APBTs for adoption.

I just wanted to stop in to give some serious props to bettagirl. I know its frustrating, but I am so impressed with your tenacity- just like a pit ;-0

Even if you get no where with the dog pound, you're here, and your bringing attention to the issue of homeless pets and pit bulls specifically. Don't give up.

Even if this dog is lost, your efforts are not in vain. Someone else will see all your posts, will get interested, will research the breed, and even if they can't get to this exact dog in this exact city, they will adopt one you never hear about from their own local shelter. You won't find out that it happened, but you helped make it happen and somewhere out there a life will have been saved because of your efforts.
Thank you, that's so nice to hear. I rarely do hear things like that, being as it's the awful pitties I advocate (for the most part, I will step in for any animal though), people seem to think I'm some kind of creep.

Luckily, a very nice person on MFK saw my post there, and is going to forward everything I posted to his neighbor, who works for the VB SPCA.
Since it is illegal for VBAC to adopt out an unaltered animal, especially a pit, they may be able to do something.
VB SPCA has also been on VBAC for a while trying to make them clean up their act.

I should know by this evening if anything can be done...

What really ticks me off, is this lady can get him and breed him all she wants, sell him and put him up for stud, but JudgeMax from here could not even get someone to talk to her about getting him, and she had no intentions of breeding.

I will post anything new that I know..

yeah update us for sure when you find out! If I were in VB I'd drive over... but I live on campus a little bit away

Here is the new add:

Now she's looking for yorkies and lhasa's:

I guess she thinks she can make more off of them now... Sick lady.
This is really affecting me because I actually considered trying to bring this boy home when he was at VBAC. The only thing that stopped me was my aging GSD, I will not put her through the stress of a new dog in her last months.

No news from the VB SPCA lady, I doubt I will hear much, it's in her hands if she decides to try something.

think it would be bad to email her asking why she's studding out an immature dog? I have it typed out... but not sure if I should.

Also, start screencapping her ads. I just did the two for the pit. I looked on the UKC website and it doesn't look like there are any rules that I can even look at, let alone someone I can contact about irresponsible studding/ownership.

My computer will not do that... Wish it would.

Cannot get in touch with the SPCA lady until tomorrow.... Even if nothing can be done about breeding him over and over, reselling ect., the VBAC broke the state law, and they should be held accountable.

UGH, this creep is such a sicko!

She was looking for a lhasa or yorkie when she was trying to sell Max, now she has adds up looking for a stud for her Lhasa female, and she put up an add for Max saying she pulled her back and that is why he had to go, now she's "lost" Max and NEEDS another UKC PR Pit Bull.
I was to expose her so bad, but it would do not good, there is money to be made :(

Yep, this kind of thing disgusts me to no end.
He went from one home, with his mate, being bred at a very young age, to the shelter system where people were dying to find him a home before he was killed, then he's taken by another breeder/reseller, loved on by her kids, must have felt at home with a family, bred numerous times as a stud dog, then resold as a breeder. WTF?
I am especially upset about this because I was very involved wit his placing, and he ends up like this. I can only hope the new owners are planning on getting him fixed and keeping him as a family dog.

AND it is ILLEGAL for the shelter to have adopted him out in the first place.

This is an amazing piece of evidence that spaying or neutering ONE dog can stop thousands from coming in to the world.
