Could have been bacterial. 50/50% chance it could have been something else we dont know? Had to euthanise one of my sparkler females, luckily not my only male, and she experienced same symptoms as ur apisto. Had to euthanise her eventually to ease her out of her misery. Im sorry about ur apisto.
