Just found out about aqua babies. Thought they looked like a cute mini tank, and then and found out they are a 4"x4" tiny cube. Can't tell they're that small by the pic, but geez...that's not even a tank. Most stores don't even sell them because of how inhumane they are. Website is ridiculous too. Person doesn't know anything about how to keep a fish alive.

Found lots of horrible reviews bout how their fish died but they are satisfied with the product because the fish lived a month or two:wall:
Poor fish! they sell dwarf african clawed frogs, snails, and fiddler crabs to go in these tanks too!
other people bought them just to rescue the inhabitants.

wow i cant believe thats legal. i have clawed frogs they need like 15 gallons for 1.This could be a petition starter

Sick. Just plain sick. Poor critters.....

I would be careful stating the person knows nothing about keeping a fish alive and that stores don't carry them because they are inhumane. Saying things like that could become a liable issue for AC. I must say that this is not something I would ever recommend or purchase.

Is Aquababies really still an "active" business? They've been around forever, I would've thought there would've been enough boycotting to shut them down.

They've started selling 'Mermaid' Aquariums here where the tank is set on a stand and made to look like a house. It has all sorts of things you can add in to make an 'obstacle course' for your (recommended) goldfish. It's about 5G. Not quite the same league, but still wrong.

Yes, unfortunately. I found out about them this past Christmas when they were at a mall here selling African dwarf frogs in torture chambers. I happened to be sitting fairly close to somebody at the food court who was talking about the care of her new frogs--change the water twice a year using spring water and feed once or twice I week. I can't believe people actually believe things like that.

4" by 4"...

... that doesn't sound too bad...

... for a bladder snail!
