Aquageek's 20G Planted

Nice that looks awesome. I am hoping to start a planted tank for my angelfish soon.

Some new pictures... I really need to get a better camera lol. In the 3rd picture you can see the outline of a few of my cories hiding under the driftwood!

SuperFish - you should do it! Planted takes are so much fun. It really allows you to create a nice ecosystem that you can watch evolve. I had a co-worker that had a 30G that was full of fake plants and decorations, I showed him a few pictures of my planted tank and he couldn't wait to put plants in lol.

I have also started a 29G Marine (Coral) tank that I will be starting a thread for in the appropriate section.

Changes imminent!

Ok, so here is my plan. I am going to add the following livestock:

2 Blue Rams
6 Cherry Shrimp

Plants (undecided) (as a reminder for light, I have a 10K T5 daylight lamp running about 8 hours a day)

What I am looking for - something great for foreground, would also like to add some color, my java fern does a great job with the darker green, but maybe some reds? Also thinking about adding another piece of driftwood, good sized... I just need to waterlog it (any tips for quickly getting driftwood to stay sunken? I've heard something about boiling water?) If I have to, I will remove one of my Amazons, these suckers get huge, take up a lot of real estate, and just keep growing lol.

Will get a picture of my other piece of driftwood I have laying around so you guys can get an idea of what size it is.

Sharp!

I would definately stand it up "stump-like" as in the middle photo with your big sword behind it. That is a very nice peice if wood!

I say middle photo too! Great piece of driftwood.
