I know they haven't been out too long, but does anyone have one of these, and how is it working. It seems like the best of the new all in one nano tanks. Also, has anyone seen the tiny little skimmer that is built to fit in one of the back compartments?

Just bought an aquapod 24

Set it up last night.
QUIET AS HELL!
Looks great.
Ran it to temp last night.
Put in some live rock tonight to start the cycle.
I'll let you know what I find out.
Although I will let you know one thing. The fan only comes on with the light and I'm going to switch the light/fan combo. Right now, the fan comes on with the white light, which comes on 2nd, so....
Anyway, I didn't put the heater in til today, but without any lights being on, the tank hit 79 this morning.
I'd rather add a fan and need the heater occasionally than overheat the system.
The pet store I trust has nice little skimmers that fit in the back of the tank, I can't recall the model, but I'll let you know how it works and what it is when I pick one up next week.

Keep us posted. It seems with all of the electricals tucked away inside, the water is the heatsink (as opposed to the outside environment).

Yes, we want to know how your temperature control efforts are panning out.

purchase

I am going to purchase a Aquapod and I would like to know is it the same as the nano cube? I would also like to know on is it easier to keep control of than the nano? Please let me know.

What is the verdict on these? I'm considering a purchase myself and am particularly curious to see if anyone has experience with the HID version of the 24gal Aquapod. Is it worth the extra 130+ for the lighting?

The aquapod is well worth it! I have one and its been up now for about 3 months. I actually moved all my corals and LR from a 10 gallon that was set up into the new pod. Its in my newborn's nursery. Here is a shot of the pod!

I love the tank!
Spankey

12 or 24 gallon? HID lighting for you, instead of the CF's, right?

a really really nice tank!

DO NOT BUY THE FISSION NANO SKIMMER.

I bought one for my 10g and it is a piece of crap. A total waste of money in my opinion. I tried it for 3 weeks and all I could manage was a bunch of micro bubbles and nothing. It is just too much fiddling with to try to get it tuned. Don't just take my opinion check out other sites and you will find the same consensus......junk. If you are really really really set on one you can buy mine.........real cheap.
